Call for Presentations

Share Your Expertise with Wisconsin's Wastewater Industry

The Wisconsin Liquid Waste Carriers Association (WLWCA) invites industry professionals, regulators, educators, consultants, manufacturers, and subject matter experts to submit presentation proposals for the 2027 WLWCA Winter Conference.

Held annually in Wisconsin Dells, the Winter Conference brings together wastewater and septic industry professionals from across Wisconsin and surrounding states for education, networking, and professional development. The conference provides attendees with practical information, regulatory updates, operational insights, and emerging industry trends.

We welcome proposals that offer educational value, real-world applications, and actionable takeaways for attendees.

Location: Wilderness Resort & Glacier Canyon Conference Center
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Estimated Attendance: 175-250 attendees
Exhibitors & Sponsors: 25-40 industry partners

Desired Topics

WLWCA is seeking presentations on topics relevant to wastewater, septic, pumping, portable sanitation, and related industries, including:

  • Regulatory and compliance updates
  • DNR requirements and reporting
  • Septic system operations and maintenance
  • Wastewater treatment developments
  • Safety and OSHA-related topics
  • DOT updates and transportation compliance
  • Equipment innovations and maintenance
  • Portable sanitation best practices
  • Business operations and workforce development
  • Emerging technologies
  • Environmental trends and challenges
  • Industry case studies and lessons learned

Additional topics that provide value to attendees are also encouraged.

  • Traditional educational presentations (45–60 minutes)

  • Demonstrations
Sessions should focus on education and practical application rather than product promotion.
Speaker Expectations

Selected speakers will be expected to:

  • Deliver an educational, non-commercial presentation
  • Provide session information needed for continuing education credit applications
  • Submit presentation materials by established deadlines
  • Participate during their scheduled conference session
  • Notify WLWCA promptly of any changes in availability

Selection Criteria

Presentation proposals will be reviewed based on:

  • Relevance to WLWCA members and attendees
  • Educational value
  • Practical application
  • Speaker expertise and experience
  • Overall balance and diversity of conference programming

Continuing Education Credits

WLWCA pursues continuing education credits for qualifying conference sessions. To assist with this process, presenters are asked to provide detailed learning objectives and presentation information as part of their proposal submission.

All proposals must be submitted through the official Call for Presentations form.

Applicants will be notified after proposals have been reviewed by the WLWCA Conference Planning Committee.

WLWCA encourages both returning and first-time presenters to submit proposals. If you have knowledge, experience, or insights that can help industry professionals succeed, we encourage you to share your expertise with our attendees.
